Heidi Moss

“It has become that time of evening, when people sit on their porches, rocking gently and talking gently….” We welcome the radiant-voiced soprano Heidi Moss, who brings the immortal words of James Agee to life, singing Barber’s “Knoxville: Summer of 1915.” From the American South, we are transported to New York City as three energetic sailors on shore leave take in the sights and sounds of the Big Apple in On the Town. The music of American composers Samuel Barber and Leonard Bernstein tells us these tales of two very different cities. The gorgeous music of Bizet’s L’Arlésienne Suites brings our concert to a rousing finish.
