General Information and Maps

The music room at East Avenue is the usual rehearsal site, but there may be changes if, for example, school activities conflict with orchestra rehearsals. Tuesday rehearsals during concert week, dress rehearsals, and concerts are at the Bankhead Theater of the Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center.

First rehearsals of 2016–17 and 2017–18: late August, to prepare for special September performances with Judy Collins and the Indigo Girls, respectively. Each concert season, regular Tuesday evening rehearsals (7:15–9:30) start in September with preparations for a pops concert, family concert, and formal concert and continue until early December, usually with no break in sequence. Then there are no rehearsals until the new year, when rehearsals normally begin on the first Tuesday after January 1. The Tuesday rehearsals continue with few breaks until the final concert of the season, in May or June. After that final concert the orchestra goes on break until late summer.

There is a dress rehearsal on the Thursday evening prior to each major concert. The formal concerts are on Saturday evenings.
