General Information and Maps

The music room at East Avenue Middle School is the usual rehearsal site, but there may be changes if, for example, school activities conflict with orchestra rehearsals.

The multi-purpose room at the east end of the Bothwell Arts Center, 2466 8th Street, is an alternate rehearsal site—bring a music stand. (Park on G, H, or 8th Streets.)

Dress rehearsals, concerts, and Tuesday rehearsals during concert week are at the Bankhead Theater of the Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center.

Regular Tuesday evening rehearsals (7:15–9:45 p.m.) usually begin in late August, to prepare for a Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center gala in September. Rehearsals follow until early December for a pops concert, family concert, and formal concert. Rehearsals recommence in early January and continue for concerts in February and April until the final concert of the season in late May or early June, except there is no rehearsal in the week immediately following a concert.

There is a dress rehearsal on the Thursday evening prior to each major concert. The formal concerts are on Saturday evenings.
